Adebusola Owokole was born and bred in Nigeria, studied at Babcock University – Nigeria, Anglia Ruskin University – UK, Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) – Ireland, London School of Management – LSPM UK, Université Côte d’Azur – France and Havard University online – USA.
She is an award-winning Team Leader, Amazon Author, Editor & Writer, Professional Coach, Blogger, Computer Programmer (C-programming), Web Designer (HTML-5), Board Certified Perioperative Specialist, Motivator, and a Highly skilled career professional with over 16 years post-registration practical experience in the operating room and acute care.
Adebusola Owokole is a Registered Nurse/Perioperative Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
She is the Founder/President of The Operating Room Global (TORG) since 2015. TORG is a professional platform for operating theatre staff of all disciplines both locally and internationally. TORG was pioneered in Nigeria and currently has a membership of over 100,000 operating room professionals from over 70 countries.
She is currently working as a Clinical Nurse Manager 2, Perioperative/Operating Theatres at University of Limerick Hospitals Group. She is a theatre charge nurse for Orthopaedics Trauma and Elective surgeries including Spines, Robotics and advanced Navigation.
Frequently, mentors junior staff members, multiple nationalities throughout their probation period and medical students, providing formal and informal training, orientation, and induction, ensuring performance reviews and support, counselling, including mandatory education and competency development guidance within the operating room environment.
Adebusola Owokole is also the Associate Director, Jasons Operations and Administration at Jasons International Health Organization Incorporated, an online NGO that ensures accessible Free Global Healthcare across the globe based in USA and previously founded in Nigeria.
Additionally, she is a member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) eChapter, a member of the Editorial Board – Journal of Clinical Practice and The Operating Theatre Journal(OTJ), UK. A founding member of the Society for Nurses in Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Surgeries – Nigeria (SNEMIS) and a member Honor Society of Nursing, Phi Gamma Chapter.
She is a Perioperative Consultant (Theatre Management) at Dr Galen and also the Founder and President of Adebusola Owokole Training and Consulting, previously known as African Nurses to Ireland, an online channel created for mentoring overseas Doctors, Nurses and HCAs who are passionate about living and working in the Republic of Ireland and Malta. This platform has currently helped to relocate thousands to Ireland and Malta in the last five years.
She is a prophetess by the Call of God and is the Visioner of Divine Dynamites Ministry Int’l (DDMI), an international and interdenominational ministry based in Nigeria, nicknamed, ‘Eagle Eye’.
To this end, she has advanced her career theoretically and practically in surgery and aspires to discover more ways of thought that are currently unknown to her yet vital in this increasingly evidence-based operating room practice and take part in strengthening relationships among operating room professionals that are bred globally and fueled by cross-cultural professions. Her attempt to join this rank is enthusiastic and resolute.
